Paper Installation at the Larnaca Biennale

The paper installation Nightfall is currently on view as part of the Larnaca Biennale - Along Lines and Traces, curated by Sana López Abellán. The exhibition Nightfall opened at Tel Aviv Artists' Studios in 2023. Two layers of dark grey paper covered the walls. I slashed them with a knife, allowing sunlight to penetrate the space through the slits. For the Larnaca Biennale, Nightfall has been reimagined at the Kallinikeio Municipal Museum of Athienou. This time, the paper installation stands freely in the vast space of the museum – it has not only an inside but also an outside. I am a paper installation artist, also working with PVC and Ceramic engravings. What unites these techniques is the fundamental act of cutting two-dimensional surfaces, transforming them into sculptural forms.

My paper structures are architectural spaces that respond to their specific sites, designed for people to enter. Viewers can experience the work through their body, invited into meditative observation.
